Polish Heritage Society of NEW to Celebrate Polish Constitution Day with Cultural Event in Pulaski
Pulaski, WI — The Polish Heritage Society of NEW invites the community to celebrate the historic Polish Constitution Day of May 3, 1791 with a special event on Saturday, May 2 at Scolly’s Hometown in Pulaski.
The event will take place from 11:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and will feature engaging presentations, a traditional Polish meal, and the opportunity to connect with others who share an appreciation for Polish heritage and culture.
Attendees will hear from two featured speakers:
Professor Barczyk, who will present on the historical significance of the Polish Constitution and why it continues to be celebrated today. Her presentation will also highlight the contributions of Polish Americans in the United States. She is the editor of the book Footprints of Polonia: Polish American Sites in North America.
Caitlin Cieslak, who will share Poland Through a Pilgrim’s Lens: Roots, Rosaries and Reflections, offering insights from her recent pilgrimage to Poland, including its rich history, cultural resilience, and spiritually significant locations.
In addition to the program, the Society will hold its election of officers for the PHS Board.
Guests will enjoy a traditional Polish meal featuring pierogi, Polish sausage with sauerkraut, dill pickle soup, vegetables, and a Polish dessert. Cost is $20 for members and $30 for non-members, payable at the door (cash or check).
