Our History, Our Future

OUR HISTORY, OUR FUTURE

Honoring Yesterday • Sharing Today • Shaping Tomorrow

Wednesday, October 14, 2026 | American Legion

What happens when we take an evening to celebrate where we've been, share what we're doing today, and look ahead to the future?

That's the idea behind Our History, Our Future, a special evening hosted by the Pulaski Area Historical Society.

This year's gathering is designed to be more than an annual meeting. It's an opportunity to connect, share a meal, celebrate our accomplishments, recognize those who help preserve our history, and hear a fascinating story from a very special guest speaker.

An Evening of History & Connection

5:00 PM — Doors Open & Networking
Come early, grab a drink, and spend some time visiting with fellow history enthusiasts, friends and neighbors.

5:45 PM — Opening Comments
We'll officially begin the evening and welcome our members and guests.

6:00 PM — Light Supper
Enjoy a light buffet and continue the conversation with fellow PAHS supporters. A cash bar will also be available.

Following Supper — PAHS Updates & Annual Business
We'll share what's been happening at the Pulaski Area Historical Society, talk about what's ahead, hold our Board Election, and present our Historic Preservation Award.

And then we'll turn the evening over to our featured speaker...

Featured Speaker: Lynda Drews

Uncovering the Lost Histories of Women

Author Lynda Drews will close the evening with a fascinating presentation about her journey researching the forgotten stories of two nineteenth-century Wisconsin women, which became the basis for her historical nonfiction book, The Maid and the Socialite.

Lynda's research uncovered stories that challenged the history we thought we knew—and her presentation offers a fascinating look at how historical stories are discovered, researched and brought back to life.

There is also a special connection to our own area. The Minahan family, featured in Lynda's research, has ties to the Pulaski area, including a connection to the historic Chase Stone Barn.

Lynda is a popular speaker whose presentations frequently sell out, making this a wonderful opportunity to hear her right here in our community.
